Virginia Distillery Company is launching a new whisky series: the Commonwealth Collection — single-malt craft whiskies featuring different styles of finish through partnerships with Virginia wineries, cideries and breweries.
The first release is a cider-finished version of the distillery’s well-known Virginia Highland Malt Whisky. For this first of the series, Virginia Distillery Company teamed up with Potter’s Craft Cider to finish 261 cases of its flagship whisky in craft cider barrels.
Intrigued? So are we! And we’re in luck: there’s a sneak peek event on Friday, Oct. 21, from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Virginia Distillery Company in Lovingston. Tickets are available via the distillery’s website.
Then, starting Saturday, Oct. 22, the new whisky will be available at Virginia Distillery Company’s Visitors Center, followed by a late-October release in select ABC stores throughout Virginia and Washington, D.C.
We’re thrilled to see this blossoming partnership between two craft beverage producers in our local food community, and look forward to the future partnerships Virginia Distillery Company will unveil through its new Commonwealth Collection. Cheers!
